I have had the opportunity to travel to some fantastic places while studying plant pathology.  I was able to learn about tropical plant diseases and disorders in Costa Rica.  I was able to work with some of the top rust researchers in the world at the Cereal Disease Laboratory in St. Paul, MN.  I worked on a huge diversity of projects  with the Forest Service and USDA and presented my research on the big island of Hawai'i.  And I presented on the importance of scientific communication at a  global food security symposium in Baton Rouge, LA.  Please navigate through these pages for more detailed accounts of these trips.
